THE SKINNY

Senior tight end Austin Garwood caught the go-ahead touchdown with 6 minutes, 35 seconds remaining as Providence handed Fenwick its first loss of the season in a nonconference game Saturday at Concordia University in River Forest.

TURNING POINT

Western Michigan-bound Robert Spillane put Fenwick (6-1) ahead 13-7 on an 8-yard TD run in the fourth quarter, but after a high snap, holder Jimmy Donahue thew an incomplete pass for the two-point conversion. The Celtics (4-3) scored five plays later on junior quarterback Justin Hunniford's 43-yard TD pass to Garwood.
