River Forest Police Blotter, Aug. 6-13

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the River Forest police department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

River Forest

THEFT

A BMX bicycle valued at $200 was stolen from the front yard of a home on 1500 block of Franklin Avenue between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Aug. 6.

A Compaq laptop computer valued at $800 and a Gucci wristwatch valued at $350 was reported taken from a Dominican University dormitory room Aug. 9. The theft occurred sometime between 3 p.m. May 29 and 2 a.m. May 30.

BURGLARY

A GPS unit, an iPod, a clipboard and a carrying case were stolen from an unlocked car on 7500 block of Lake Street sometime between 6:45 p.m. and 6:55 p.m. Aug. 10.

MARIJUANA

Alek D. Pederson, 18, of 1131 S. Highland Ave., Oak Park, was arrested at 2:12 a.m. Aug. 10 on 800 block of Lathrop Avenue and charged with underage possession and consumption of alcohol, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. His court date is Sept. 7.

Ashley B. Sloan, 18, of 140 Gale Ave., River Forest, was arrested at 2:12 a.m. Aug. 10 on 800 block of Lathrop Avenue and charged with underage possession and consumption of alcohol, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her court date is Sept. 7.

ROBBERY

A man robbed a gas station on 7200 block of North Avenue of an unspecified amount of money at 5:56 a.m. Aug. 12. The man grabbed several $20 bills from the cash register after the gas station attendant was asked if he could make change.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

A 2005 Acura TL was reported Aug. 10 to be intentionally scratched on 7900 block of North Avenue in the CVS Pharmacy parking lot sometime between 9:18 p.m. and 9:21 p.m. July 30.
