January marks not only the start of the new year, but for many parents the beginning of their search for a preschool or day care program that will best fit the needs of their child.
To help parents in this process, Parenthesis Family Center will hold its annual Preschool Fair from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, at 405 S. Euclid Ave., in Oak Park. The fee for admission is $5 for an individual or $8 per couple (please no children). This year’s fair includes schools in Oak Park, River Forest, Forest Park and more.
Regardless of the ultimate choice, sorting among preschools can be a daunting and time-consuming project. Attending the Parenthesis Preschool Fair can save time and ensure that families are fully aware of the many choices offered in the community. Information provided by the schools will include philosophies, schedules, staffing, tuition fees, applications and facilities. Representatives from each school will be on hand to answer specific questions from parents.
No RSVP necessary, just show up. Contact Sue Schreck at (708) 848-2227 or sschreck@parenthesis-info.org if you have any questions.
