Club hosts ‘A Spanish Afternoon’ and tea

At 1:15 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, the Nineteenth Century Charitable Association presents “A Spanish Afternoon” at the historic clubhouse building at 178 Forest Ave., in Oak Park (across the street from Austin Gardens).

Lyric mezzo soprano Elda Peralta and pianist Jin-Yee Tang perform a program of art songs, zarzuela and arias with works by Oscar Espla, Joaquin Rodrigo, Manuel M. Ponce and other Mexican and Spanish composers. Suggested donation for the program is $10 and it will be followed by a tea.
