River Forest police seek hit-and-run driver

An elderly pedestrian was hit by an SUV on the 7900 block of North Avenue in River Forest the evening of Aug. 25.
In a release, River Forest police said the pedestrian was hit at about 8:50 p.m. Aug. 25. The SUV then drove off without stopping, causing the pedestrian serious injuries, police said.
Police said witnesses described the vehicle as a blue Toyota SUV, left with front-end and passenger-side damage after the pedestrian was hit. A fog light and a passenger mirror were also knocked off.
