River Forest officials started work early last Friday to deal with the 5 inches of snow that fell.
Crews plowed arterial streets through the night as well as alleys and roads. All was clear by Saturday.
According to Public Works Director Phil Cotter, the village’s most recent snow-response efforts came out to about $10,000, when factoring overtime costs, and the supplies that were used to deal with the elements.
Dealing with the first storm on Jan. 12 cost slightly more, about $12,000.
