Teen Manga Mania Night: 7-8:30 p.m. Feb. 24. For teen Manga readers in sixth grade and up. Manga related snacks and activities.

Donuts for Dads: 9:30 a.m.-noon, Feb. 25. Drop in family program. Enjoy books, games and crafts in the Meeting Room, breakfast treats and Blue Max coffee, and a story time by the fireplace at 10:30 a.m.

Free ACT Practiced Test: 1-5 p.m. Feb. 25 and 7-8 p.m. March 1. High school students are invited to take a free, full-length practice ACT test sponsored by Kaplan Test Prep. A fully proctored practice test shows students what to expect in a test-like environment. At the Scores Back follow-up Workshop, students who took the test will receive a comprehensive analysis of their performance on the test, detailing individual strengths and weaknesses. Parents and students can learn how to score higher on admissions tests using Kaplan strategies. The format and content of the test are explored, question types are reviewed and more. This is a great opportunity to practice before the real thing! Space is limited.

Fourth and Fifth Grade Book Club: 2 p.m. Feb. 26. Fourth- and fifth-graders are invited to join us for a book discussion. In February we’ll read Out of My Mind by Sharon Draper. Pick up your copy at the Circulation Desk in advance.

Moving Around the Computer: and Internet. 10 a.m. Feb. 28. This class is meant to complement the Computer Basics class. Get more practice using the mouse and learn the basics of navigating the Internet and using software. To gain more experience on the computer before taking our other classes, start here!

Winter Gardening Workshop: 7 p.m. Feb. 28. Presented by Master Gardener Debbie Kong. Learn to extend the season and grow more food. The Thoughtful Living Series is presented by the River Forest Parks Foundation and the River Forest Public Library.
