Saturday, 2/4, 9:30 AM-Noon, Donuts for Dads: 9:30 a.m. Feb. 4. Drop-in family program. Enjoy books, games and crafts, breakfast treats and Blue Max coffee, and a story time by the fireplace at 10:30 a.m.

Open Gaming Day: 2-4 p.m. Feb. 4. All ages are invited to drop in to play Wii Games and board games.

Midwest Sweet Baking: History with Jenny Lewis, 2 p.m. Feb. 5. Did you know that the inventor of the Twinkie was from River Forest? Come learn about local and regional sweet baking history from Chef Jenny Lewis, author of Midwest Sweet Baking History: Delectable Classics Around Lake Michigan. Sample a sweet treat as part of this lecture and demonstration.

Story Stretchers: 1:30 p.m. Feb. 6. Story time for children ages 4-6 with parent/caregiver.

Mother Goose Story Time: 10 .m. Feb. 7. Join Miss Kim as she shares books and songs. For babies birth-18 months with parent/caregiver.

Using Microsoft Word: 7 p.m. Feb. 7. Learn the basics.

Computer Basics: 10 a.m. Feb. 8. Designed for computer beginners, this class covers all the basics. If you are starting at zero or need more experience before taking other classes, start here!

Afternoon Book Discussion: 1:30 p.m. Feb. 8. Come for a discussion of Mudbound by Hillary Jordan. Copies of the book are available for pick up at the Circulation Desk.

Toddler Time: 10 a.m. Feb. 9. Join Miss Sue for stories, music and movement. For kids 18 months-3 years with parent/caregiver.

Valentine’s Day: Snacks and Crafts, 2-3:30 p.m. Feb. 9. Kids in fourth-sixth grade can come to the library to make Valentine’s Day crafts and chocolate covered strawberries.

Family Story Time: 10 a.m. Feb. 10. Join library staff for stories and songs. For kids ages birth through 6 with parent/caregiver.
