The following release about the retirement of longtime tennis Mary Ann Lappe comes from Trinity High School:

With a heavy heart the Trinity Athletic Department will be bidding farewell to Head Tennis Coach Mary Ann Lappe.

Lappe began coaching at Trinity in 2000 and coached 14 consecutive seasons. Lappe coachd All-Stater Amanda Nunez to the IHSA State Tournament in 2006, 2007 and 2008. Additionally, she coached her three daughters Bridget, Emily and Lauren during their 4 years at Trinity.

The entire Trinity community would like to extend its gratitude toward Coach Lappe for her many years of dedication. She and her exuberant personality will most certainly be missed! Succeeding Coach Lappe will be Alice Tebbutt. Currently Tebbutt is in her first year teaching mathematics at Trinity. Tebbutt has a strong background in tennis and we are certain she will do a fantastic job taking over for Coach Lappe. Congratulations to both Coach Lappe and future Head Tennis Coach Alice Tebbutt.
