Oak Park and River Forest each held winter fests over the weekend.
For Oak Park residents, the annual WinterFest celebrated the kick-off of the Park District of Oak Park’s year-long 100th anniversary celebration. Open skate featured Chicago Blackhawks organist Frank Pellico. Snow sculptures were created by Peter Hermann. There were also games and prizes.
For River Forest’s Lincoln Elementary School students and their families, there was rollerskating at the ARC in Oak Park.
